Fellowship Recipients are required to complete the “Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training”. Only expenses directly associated with the research as outlined in your proposed budget will be supported. Any deviation from the budget requires the CUGR director’s approval. The timeline to spend award funds:

AY Fellowship awards is Nov. 1st – May 1st. For

Summer Fellowships it is May 1st – September 15th. Final

Reports are due at the end of each performance period.

The final report should include:

  1. Budget report
  2. Research results
  3. Self-assessment of the project success
  4. Publications and follow-up proposal resulted from this award
  5. Save all report materials as a single .pdf file named as LASTNAME_AY_REPORT e.g. Smith_AY1718_Report or Smith_Summer18_Report

All award winners are required to present their research results at the 2019 UMaine Student Symposium (UMSS19) which will be held on April, 2019. . Any questions should be directed to the CUGR director at
