PRE-VUE Project Grant Award

Opening Opportunities for Undergraduate Student-Faculty Collaboration

All UMaine undergraduates are eligible to submit requests to fund their research projects, travel, and/or materials. Students receiving funding from The Center for Undergraduate Research (CUGR) will become members of the Undergraduate Research & Scholarship Academy (URSA) through which their research and scholarship experiences will benefit from the opportunity to collaborate with others.

Through this project, CUGR will establish the CUGR Fellows Program. In this 2-year program, up to 25 faculty mentors will participate in activities designed to encourage and strengthen their role in fostering undergraduate research. The first year will focus on developing and maintaining excellent mentoring skills. The second year will address the pursuit of funding research involving undergraduates. Eligible faculty must be nominated by their college Dean and commit to the two-year program.
